For a work practice module, I created some work for the ethical jewellery company, Just Trade. Just Trade works with artisans from six different countries to help better their lives in creating jewellery. The ethical company are all things passion about fair trade and the ethics that goes into a business.
I was asked to create a A5 flyer, to use for point of sales, that echo’s Just Trade’s principles. The main task for me as the designer, was to approach the job with a fresh pair of eyes. I did this by creating a simplistic pattern, that is inspired by the shapes of their jewellery and materials. I introduced the colour green mainly into the design, as I felt it represented the word ‘ethical.’
With the A5 flyer, I also created some Instagram content as a brand extension as with the rise of social media for companies, it is important to have good interactive content to advertise the company. I created some Instagram stories of an A-Z of what the brand stands for. Following on, I created some Instagram post that breaks down Just Trade principles in a simplified manner.
